Ocho y Medio Audiovisual is an independent production company based in Costa Rica, working across cinema and audiovisual media with collaborators throughout Central America and the Caribbean, including the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panamá, El Salvador, USA, Chile, Spain, Portugal and Slovenia.
Founded in 2017, the company develops and produces author-driven films and audiovisual projects with a strong commitment to creative independence and regional storytelling. Ocho y Medio works closely with directors, cinematographers, sound artists and visual creators, supporting projects from early development through production and post-production.
The company’s work is rooted in a collaborative approach that values artistic vision, honesty in the creative process and a deep respect for the voices behind each project.
